PDF Manager - Creating Background Images For Trimble Siteworks

In the following video we show you how to use the v2026.2 update of PDF Manager to create background images for Trimble Siteworks.

The PDF pages that you use PDF Manager to Import, and Georeference can be selected in their clipped or unclipped state and can all be exported to a Background Images folder stored in the TBC project folder as a subfolder.

The images are automatically sized below the Siteworks 8192 x 8192 image pixel limit, while retaining the highest possible resolution. Where the images are too large, we will down size them as far as 96 DPI, and if still too large they will be tiled into subfiles so that they can be handled in Siteworks.

Once exported, the images have a PNG and PGW world file for each page that was exported. The entire folder can be copied over to the approriate Siteworks Site folder, or they can be dragged and dropped into the Works Manager system for over the air delivery to the controllers.

This process takes next to zero effort and can now be completed in seconds. No more plotboxes, no more guessing about image sizing, and full automation.
