In the vide below we show how to use PDF Manager to carry out a variety of tasks and how to link the unreferenced TBC project with Google Earth a the end of the process. The video covers the following subjects’
- Use PDF Manager to select and review a PDF file
- Use PDF Manager Review to set the scale of selected sheets
- Use PDF Manager to Georeference a single Grading Plan Sheet
- Use PDF Manager to Georeference 3 Extracts from a single PDF Sheet of intersection and cul-de-sac details
- Use PDF Manager to Extract images from Georeferenced and Unreferenced PDF Pages
- How to set the Georeferenced image display styles and transparency settings
- Use Google Earth to find the correct project location
- Use Google Earth to create a Georeferencing Baseline using the Measure / Ruler tool
- Save a KML / KMZ file of the Georeferenced Baseline from Google Earth
- In TBC set the coordinate system of the project - in this case Ohio North
- In TBC import the KML/KMZ georeference baseline created in Google Earth
- Use PDF Manager to Update the Georeference information for all of the PDF Pages, Page Extracts. Placed Images and Extracted Linework to move the project into the correct location that matches up with Google Earth
- Publish the extracted linework as a KML/KMZ file for Google Earth
- Import the published KML/KMX file from TBC to Google Earth
This end to end workflow shows the Power of PDF Manager for Site Projects

Can you send me the file you are looking at and I will try it on my end to see if I can see what you are seeing. I have not seen that as an issue over the ~9 months of development and testing, so this is a first for me - hopefully it is something simple.
I can only suggest the following here
- Try reinstalling our tools package incase something is not quite installed correctly - remember to wait 30 secs after closing TBC before installing the package, or if you do an update with TMLStatus afterwards, wait 30 secs after you close TBC before you restart - otherwise something may not install correctly.
- Update the installation using TMLStatus to make sure that you have the very latest version of PDF Manager.
- If the above fails, try one more thing - go to Support - Options, and then click the Advanced button and try selecting OpenGL2 vs DirectX. Restart TBC after doing that and see if that makes any difference. If that worked, you can try switching back to DirectX and restart. I have seen a couple of issues with 2024.01 relating to the way that the Graphics is set up, and would like to rule that out here - I don’t believe it will have any effect, but you never know.
I will call you tomorrow and we can take a look at it together if the above all fails to work, I have not seen this at all, so it is a first for me, could be something with the file you are looking at, could be something else entirely - if I can reproduce it we can fix it I believe.
You are the first to report this as an issue, so it appears to be local to your setup.
