I learned a good tip in Windows 11 from Alan. You can change the GPU preference for specific applications, i.e. Trimble Business Center, from the default “Let Windows Decide” to “High Performance (NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada)”. This is found in system, display, graphics.
What other tips, suggestions do others have for speeding up/optimizing your computer for TBC?

Riley I had similar questions to you and many people piled on to help and shared some great resources. This has been by far the most helpful corner of the internet I have come across for specific Trimble Business Center help.
The tip that helped me a lot with “video resource optimization” was to invest in a high end docking station. I am running three, DELL 4K precision 32" IPS panel monitors off a Lenovo ThinkPad. I was using a HDMI splitter hub. It had nio software to aid in resource management. I would get a decent bit of studder and lag when zoomed or rotating a surface with a good amount of points. A good example would be rotating a surface topo in 3D.
Someone recommended using a true hub that’s matched to my laptop. ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Workstation Dock | 40B00300US | Lenovo US It cost me $400 just for the dock but it cleaned up my desk and I have seen a notable improvement. (Lenovo only had one that was available with a 230W output to power my laptop through the dock and run 3 external monitors at 3840 x 2160 (4K) while maintaining 60Hz at 140 dpi. All 3 are running off my NVidia Quadro t2000 which feels antiquated but I recently got my company to shell out 2900 in monitors, premium adjustable wall mount arms for those monitors, and the docking station. I will be patient and wait to see how the premium alien ware I ordered works for a new coworker. I picked it out based on the recommendations by various users linked bellow.
Another think thats alittle off the subject but is a game changer to me is a decent mouse that has some extra programable or mappable buttons. I have control, shift, tab, and enter mapped for Trimble Business Center to my mouse and then copy paste and zoom for many others, different set for bluebeam. it is well wotjh the $100 if your using a standard mouse.
