Earthwork Reporting w/Areas of Interest

I used Takeoff for a 126 Acre site that included subgrade adjustments, overexcavation, and 4 EA AOI’s. EW report here:

AOI ‘04 Roosevelt’ is part of the overall project but not included in this pricing package. AOI #04 depicted here:

After comparing independently with 2 other earthwork reports (Agtek), it appears that the AOI’s are overlapping and double counting quantities (areas, volumes, etc). The site w/o AOI #04 should be 119 AC but it’s reporting 126 AC. I verified that AOI boundaries are separate to each AOI. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, are there steps I’m missing to prevent this error? Thanks in advance for sharing the knowledge!

I copied the .vce file (1071-OTAY ATP01 (temp)) and updated my site grade limits to exclude AOI #04. New EW report here:

1071-OTAY ATP01.vce (177.3 MB)

1071-OTAY ATP01 (temp).vce (179.6 MB)

I’ve triple-checked the earthwork reports and I think they’re good. But the AOI’s are not accurate. They’re calculating 132 AC total area but the site is only 126 AC and 119 without AOI #4.

I’ve had a similar issue in the past, I’m not certain and didn’t test it but I noticed it right after updating TBC. None of the data had been changed but some of the numbers in the takeoff report were different than what they had been before the update. May have just been a coincidence but I exported everything out of the project as a VCL and imported into a fresh project and the takeoff reports were correct after that. If you updated TBC since you created that project file maybe we found a bug.
