PDF Manager - Auto Referencing Skewed Cross Sections (RPS v2026.2)

In the video below we show you how to use the updated PDF Manager command (RPS v2026.2) to automatically layout a series of cross section sheets that are skewed by 90 degrees in the original PDF File.

The new Group Reference function allows you to automatically import and georeference a set of PDF pages for in this case Cross Section sheets, clip them to the drawing area and in this example rotate them by 90 degrees as they are being referenced. Once the sheets are extracted and scaled, we show you hopw to extract the linework from the sheets and move onto the data prep processes to prepare the data for 3D conversion against an alignment.

In the video we also showcase some additional controls in the PDF Review pane for renaming sheets and page collections, and to auto create Page Collections from selected sheets to prepare for the Georeferencing process.

The video shows the new function - Group reference of the Georeferencing process.

The video also shows the updated data extraction process and how you can manage layers, colors, data to be extracted, and also direct extracted data to your target layers automatically.

The video then shows a high level overview of how to use RPS Geometric Selection to sort through data, the RPS Isolate Layers command to review data from 1 or more layers quickly, the RPS Increment Text command to add station labels to the sections, the Smart Elevate - Pad mode to elevate the grid lines of the sections, the explode lines command to fix some of the grid lines to be how you need them etc. to prepare the data for 3D conversion.

There are many other v ideos that show the CAD Section conversion process and more detailed data prep videpos that show the full process to clean the sections ready for conversion.

Video shows you how
