All,
I found a 2020 Post that mentioned Surfaces could not be moved using TBC Tools. Is this still true today?
Thanks,
Dave

I was given a .ttm in one coordinate system and I would like to compare it to a separate .ttm in a different coordinate system.
I used to deal with this a lot doing demo data related to sales - You have to import the surface as points-only using the import command, then you can move/transform the points and make a new surface in the new location.
Nelson,
You are my hero today! Worked Great.
Thanks,
Dave
You can also explode a surface into points and lines and then move those to the correct location and reform the model from the points and lines. The lines ensure that the triangles are exactly the same as the original surface model. Use extract surface features to explode the surface. If you create points and lines then the surface is easier to edit because the lines are dependent on the points, delete or move or change the z on a point and the triangles go with the point or get deleted if you delete a point.

Would you need to set an known elevation to both side or is it on the same job site? As Alan said and/or export .ttm as a DWG/DXF. Then report as DWG/DXF. Those are imported as 3D faces. Then “move/rotate/scale by object” or jsut “move” to fit over desired ttm/area.
