If you load the new RPS Menu ribbon, you might notice that there a new tab called unlicensed commands. These are the free commands that are now separated from the RPS Menu Ribbon. Anyone can download the installer from our website and the menu ribbon from our community page and use them.
Note: Currently only available on the RPS 5.90 Install package.

Are these still free? I’ve noticed with the latest version all commands I have tried require a license now.
Aaron
As of Jan 1 2025, we have stopped supporting the “unlicensed commands”. We now include all of the updated versions of these commands (many have significant enhancements, all are thoroughly tested and help / help videos provided) in what we call Smart Start bundle which also includes our TBC Fundamentals / Smart Start Training package as well as our Libraries and Templates package and our email support / forum support for $695 / year.
With the continuous changes that Trimble has been making to API calls that we use, and the programming environment updates, the testing burden supporting two versions of all these commands and providing the service at no cost has become prohibitive on us to provide the service for free - hence the change.
The package now also includes a number of other commands also that were previously in charged modules. The commands are also included in each of the licensed toolboxes and the All Tools package.
The Smart Start bundle is $695 / user / year and the Toolboxes are $795 / user per year if you feel that you would rather have more commands vs the training and support that is included in Smart Start.
We feel that the Smart Start bundle provides continued high value for the license cost, and that helps to compensate for the huge amount of effort we put into the commands development and support each year. We have been supporting the commands for 5 years now at our own expense.
