Hi everyone,
I’m encountering an issue where the “Convert to Linestring” command has been causing problems over the last few days. When I run the command, it hangs briefly and then TBC completely shuts down without displaying any error messages. I’ve made sure that both my TMLs and TBC are up to date (currently running version 2024.9014.19265).
Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions on how to resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance, Andy
Hi Andy,
Which convert to linestring command are you running? Fyi. there are 2 version of this command. There is a Trimble version in the unlicensed tab and the Rockpile version is on the RPS Data Prep tab.

Hi Trev,
I’m using the command under RPS ‘Data Prep.’ I recorded my screen to show the crash. It’s easy to replicate since it happens regardless of the project or whether I select the lines before or after running the command.
Good morning everyone,
The issue I reported earlier is still ongoing and now includes the use of the ‘Show Direction’ command under Tool Shed. I believe this might be a local issue with my machine since no other users seem to be experiencing crashes. I checked for updates this morning, including Windows and GPU drivers. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
This error popped up this morning after reinstalling RPS command library. Hopefully this leads to a resolution to my issue.
Andy
As discussed this morning, this appears to be a defect created by the API Call changes that TBC have made in 2024.01 release of TBC - as we reviewed today, our release due out tonight will fix these issues as you have found today with our final Beta Build - so watch out for the full release tomorrow
Thanks
Alan

Good morning, Alan,
The PDF Manager is one of the most powerful tools I’ve seen in a while. I’ve been using it with TBC for takeoff work recently, and it’s definitely improving efficiency. I wish I had better input, but the tool has been working great overall.
Thank you again for your assistance, Alan. It’s much appreciated.

Good morning everyone,
I need to revisit this issue because it has reappeared after updating TBC to the latest version, 2024.10 (Build 2024.10.9090.16654) yesterday. Very similar crash when using RPS Modeling Sta/Offset points command and the RPS converting linestring command among other commands.
Thanks again,
Andy
Good morning,
I am still experiencing the issue. I’ve tried uninstalling, running the cleaner and reinstalling several times (from version 2024.01 - latest update) and get crashes running RPS commands. My windows event viewer points to the same critical error every time, Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Trimble\Trimble Business Center\TrimbleBusinessCenter.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\clr.dll
Any ides or assistance will greatly appreciated as I rely on RPS now and everytime I run a command, TBC locks up and closes.
Morning Alan,
I sent you an email this morning regarding the issue and resolution.
Glad tohear it is now resolved
Alan
