Where did the BIM tab go

upgrading to 2026, on open, there was clearly a BIM tab and it certainly had tools. I cant find it after opening a project and restoring user settings. It seems it may be part of the ANZ toolbox but there are only three functions listed there. Not in unlisted tabs, don’t see anything obvious in unlicensed features. I was full excited, now confused.

If you are running a TBC USB or Network License you will not have access to those functions.

Not sure if you’ve figured this out on your own yet, but in my case I had to part ways with my saved profile and toolbar, set the ribbons to defaults and then rebuild my settings on the latest version. Restoring saved setup from older version invariably hides all the new tools. After a fair amount of research it seemed there was no option to keep the settings I’ve migrated forward from version to version the last couple of years AND get the latest ribbon layout with all the new tools. Bit of a pain point, but I’m past it now.

That is not cool. They are after my dongle!!

Anyhow, I am sitting on a Enterprise subscription key and i still can find this darn BIM tab. ANZ Tool Box is lacking the 80 tools advertised. Not getting a lot of help from Sitech on this…any further information as to how i get my paws on this tab would be much appreciated!

Stephen, are you on a hardware key or Software key? you are implying that the hours and hours i have spent on my template and user profile is now junk if i want to see the new ribbon tab? this is silliness!

We are all subscription now. I was hardware key for years while the rest of our seats went software/local license server. A couple years ago my hardware key starting having connection issues, so I got moved to software/local license server too. Then this year we had to move to subscription for a variety of reasons I’m not completely aware of, it was decision by my department manager.

But yes, I’ve been forced to spend a few hours rebuilding my settings from scratch because if I restore them all the new commands stay hidden. I wasn’t happy with it but couldn’t find a way around it. I could get the new tabs/commands via reset in “Customize Ribbon” on the Support tab, but it would lose all my toolbars, keyboard shortcuts, etc. Very much either/or. So I spent a few hours building everything fresh from defaults. Every now and then I encounter something I missed and have to add, so I feel your pain. But all the ANZ tools are worth it. Feels like a new program in some ways.
