Fillet Mode
The Fillet command dialog looks as follows
Trim object checkbox:
Check this checkbox if you want to trim the selected line segments to the ends of the fillet arc(s) placed in the line. If you do not check the checkbox, the arc is created and the original lines are not trimmed to the arc endpoints.
Apply whole line checkbox:
Check this checkbox if you want to place the same radius fillet arc at all angle points of a selected line. If you want to apply a different radius arc at each angle point, or if you only want to fillet certain angle points along the line, do not check this checkbox.
Fillet radius
Enter the radius of the fillet arc(s) that you want to create.
Select line segments:
When you do not check the Apply whole line checkbox, select the two segments between which you want to apply the fillet arc. When the checkbox is enabled the same fillet will be applied to all angle points of the selected line, and you will select the line in the first of these two fields.

Chamfer Mode
The Chamfer command dialog looks as follows
Trim object checkbox:
Check this checkbox if you want to trim the selected line segments to the ends of the chamfers placed in the line. If you do not check the checkbox, the chamfer is created and the original lines are not trimmed to the chamfer endpoints.
Apply whole line checkbox:
Check this checkbox if you want to place the same chamfer at all angle points of a selected line. If you want to apply a different chamfer at each angle point, or if you only want to chamfer certain angle points along the line, do not check this checkbox.
Chamfer mode:
Select the chamfer mode that you wish to apply. The options are as follows
- One distance - The chamfer has equal distances on both line segments selected at each corner. The distance is the distance from the corner point to the start of the chamfer along the inbound line segment and the distance from the corner point to the end of the chamfer along the outbound segment. In the below example we used 10’ to create the chamfer
- Two distances - The chamfer has unequal distances on the two line segments selected at each corner. The distance is the distances are from the corner point to the start of the chamfer along the inbound line segment and the distance from the corner point to the end of the chamfer along the outbound segment. In the example below we used 10’ and 5’ to create the chamfer
- Distance/Angle - The chamfer is defined by a single distance defined from the corner point to the start of the chamfer and an angle which is the deflection angle from the inbound line at the start of the chamfer. In the example below we used 10’ and 30 degrees to create the chamfer
Select line segments:
When you do not check the Apply whole line checkbox, select the two segments between which you want to apply the chamfer. When the checkbox is enabled the same chamfer will be applied to all angle points of the selected line, and you will select the line in the first of these two fields.
