Check the check boxes for Flag start and Flag end if you wish to show a flag indicator at the start and end of the line. These can be useful to determine the extents of the selected line. You can also choose the color for the start and end flags.
To increase / Decrease the size of the flags slide the Flag size slide bar to the right or left from its current position.

The direction arrows are displayed as an arrow in plan view and a cone in 3D view. The arrows / cones are split color Left and Right. Here you can set the colors for the Left and Right side of the arrow using the pull down color selectors.
The direction arrows can be opaque or transparent. set or change the arrow transparency here using the slide bar.
The direction arrows will scale based on your current view position. As you zoom in the arrows will get smaller and as you zoom out they will get larger. You can set the base scale here using the slide bars. You can set a different base behavior for the Plan and 3D views.
