In the following video, we show how to manage the storage of Vector Snap Points in TBC Projects for imported and georeferenced PDF Pages.
While the PDF Images are stored in the TBC project folder and referenced into the TBC project file, the snap locations for each page are stored in the VCE project file itself. In one example we looked at, the project file without Snap storage was about 650KB in size, whereas with the snap points stored the file was 6x larger at 3.6MB. So if you do not need / want the Vector Snap locations, you can remove them from the project permanently to reduce the size of the TBC project file.
Remember, vector snaps can be turned On / Off in the running snap dialog, when using tools like Smart Draw, you can turn the Vector Snaps on and off using the V key on your keyboard, however they are just temporary controls, the vector snap locations are still in the project file.
In PDF Manager’s Update Georeference tab, you will now find the following controls for each Page Collection or all pages extracted and georeferenced from the PDF plan sets.
To remove or add Vector Snaps to the TBC project images, select the All Pages Collection or a specific page collection, then select all the pages within that collection or individual pages as required, and then click the Remove vector snaps or Enable vector snaps button to make the changes required to the selected sheets.
If you wish to remove vector snaps from all pages in the project, select the All Pages collection, then select all of the pages in the project and then click the Remove vector snaps button. Do the reverse if you want to add the vector snaps back to all pages in the project.
If you wish to remove vector snaps from all pages in a specific page collection only, then select the page collection first, and then select all pages in the page collection, or just those that you wish to remove the vector snaps from.
