Isolate Layers
COMMAND LICENSING AND DEFAULT MENU LOCATIONS
- The Isolate Layers command is part of the RPS Data Prep Toolbox.
- The command is located on the Data Prep Toolbox menu ribbon.
- The command is located in the Layers menu group.
COMMAND DESCRIPTION
Provides the ability to isolate or unisolate any number of layers with a single keystroke. The Isolate function is not applied to Georeferenced Images, PDF Pages, Ortho Photos, Background Maps, or Surface Models, allowing the isolated data to be seen in relation to the background data. The command is assigned to the CTRL + 1 hotkey, allowing it to be applied quickly and easily to any data selection that you make.

SETUP & EXECUTION
Command Interface Description
The Isolate Layers command has no user interface. The command icon on the RPS Data Prep menu ribbon will turn yellow when the Isolate function is active and will not be yellow when it is inactive. You can click the command icon or use the CTRL + 1 shortcut to apply the function.

To use the command, simply select any number of objects that are on the layer(s) you wish to isolate and either click the command icon on the menu or use the CTRL + 1 shortcut to activate or deactivate the isolation of the layers.
Once data is isolated, you can still turn layers or objects like Georeferenced Images or Surfaces On and Off using the View Filter Manager. When you deactivate the Isolate function, the View Filter is returned to the state it was in before the isolation was applied.
HOT KEYS
Use CTRL + 1 to activate and deactivate the Isolate Layers function. The hotkey is defined in the RPS Default Shortcuts. You can load the RPS Default Shortcuts using the RPS Shortcut Manager command in the Tool Shed menu ribbon.
