Layer Manager
Command Licensing and Default Menu Location

Command Description
Layer Manager provides a rapid way to assign selected layers to layer groups and to add prefix or suffix text to layer names.
Command Interface Description
The Layer Manager command dialog looks as follows
Layer and Layer Group Table:
The table can be sorted by clicking either the Layer or Layer Group column header.
To change the layer group of a single layer, click in the layer group field for that layer once to highlight the row and a second time to display the Group selector pull down and then use the pull down list to select the layer group required.
To change the layer group of a selection of layers, highlight the layer rows that you wish to change using the CTRL and Click, Click Click to select layers separated in the list or use the Shift Click (Top) and Click (bottom) of the group of layers that you wish to change. While still holding the SHFT
Suffix / Prefix:
If you want to modify the names of layers using a Prefix or Suffix, you can select the layers in the table list that you want to modify (use CTRL and click or Shift and Click for group selections) and then enter the prefix or suffix value here and click Add Prefix or Add Suffix button to execute.
Add Prefix:
Click this button to add the entered value to the names of the selected layers as a prefix.
Add Suffix:
Click this button to add the entered value to the names of the selected layers as a suffix.
Search:
If you want to replace all or part of a layer name, you can use the search field to enter the text that you want to find in the layer names and then enter the replacement text if required in the replace field. If you simply want to remove all or part of a name, you can enter a value in the Search field and then leave the Replace field blank and then tap replace to delete those characters in the search field from the layer names.
Replace:
Enter the replace text in this field of the dialog and click Replace to execute the changes requested.
OK
Executes the command and closes on completion
Cancel
Closes the command without further execution.
