Im experiencing this error when trying to print a plot box. Does anyone know why this may be happening?
Hey Austin,
Can you give me some more information about the machine you are using TBC on? I haven’t run into this issue personally but I would try the following to troubleshoot it:
-
Make sure windows is up to date
-
Check for graphics card driver update
-
check for any other out of date drivers
-
Try TBC again to see if the issue persists
-
run memory test on ram to see if there is an issue
-
test hard drive ( from cmd prompt :
wmic diskdrive get model,status
-
It will return Pred Fail if your drive’s death is imminent or OK if it thinks the drive is doing fine.
if everything looks good after these steps I would try removing TBC and running the office clean up utility and then redownload and install TBC.
If this doesn’t solve the issue I would try reaching out to Trimble support to see if they can help diagnose the issue.
I haven’t but it looks like you have a photo or colorized point cloud in it. Have you tried it without that to see if the problem is related to it? It just might be running out of memory in a print buffer or something.
I have seen this issue with another dealer and am waiting for and update having suggested they check printer drivers
Could it be that you have Dropbox
or Google Drive or One Drive trying to sync
In the background - it sounds like TBC is trying to read or write something but cannot because it has protection on the folder or file location. That can happen when there is a file share system working on the data at the same time.
I have never seen that error before, I would try the following
-
save the project
-
close TBC
-
reboot my computer
-
restart and see if the issue is cleared.
If not
Shut off synching of Dropbox etc. And try starting TBC again and see if that fixes the issue.
If not that I am not sure what else to try, you can send us the file and let us know what tou are trying to print and we can try the same for you on our machines to.see if that works - that then isolates the issue to a specific machine setup issue or not.
It could also be that your path name has exceeded Windows limits - try saving the project to to.your C drive root folder and then try printing again - that may also solve the issue.
Not sure what else it could be - are you trying to.overwrite an existing PDF file that may be open in Acrobat or Bluebeam etc. That could also be an issue that would cause this type.of error.
Are you sure you have sufficient hard disk space to create the file?
Let me know if any of these work for you
Alan
I had a support case recently with the exact same error message. The user updated his graphics card drivers and that fixed it for him
