Not sure if this is possible, but a smart coordinate scroll would be useful for quickly checking surface elevation.

Currently, the coordinate scroll only gives you one surface elevation at a time but I wish it would show two or more surface elevations and the delta between the surfaces. This would be useful for checking sub grade to finished design

Additionally I with you could apply formulas so that it automatically adds or subtracts from the surface elevation. This would be useful for checking architectural plan elevations that are usually given in relation to a 0.0 base elevation.

The Measure Surface command in the latest version of TBC does most of what you want - I presume it’s been part of the ANZ toolbox previously. But you can measure with respect to a point, 3D linestring, or another surface and it’s very powerful.

If you create a Smart label that shows you Surface 1 elevation and surface 2 elevation and the delta between the two surface that should give you what you need and you can label at any location. Smart label provides support for two surfaces.
