Sloping paving offsets

Hi,

I got a situation where we are wanting to use sloped paving offsets for string line paving but the project is not a corridor. Is there any short cut or command that looks at the 3d line string opposite from the one you are staking to get the cross slope? I know Lica has this feature and I am wondering if Trimble or Rockpile has a solution other than hand calculating each offset point.

Thanks,

Ben

Ben, Not sure of your situation, but if i was trying to achieve this i would use the side slope command. It uses the corridor instructions without building a corridor.

Then I would reference both lines, master/optional reference. use the offset/slope instruction. and use the drop down for Node to Node

and that should achieve an offset line that is sloped between your two source lines.

Then if you need points you can use the create points at intervals to your offset line, and if you match your sampling distance it should put the points where it calculated the slope between to two lines.

now if your staking a crowned road and its -2% and your trying to get +2% because your trying to get a slope from the other side of tangent. then we will have to do it in a corridor.

Thank you. That worked!
