TBC Versions 5.9.x and more recent, including Version 2025.x, have a different setup procedure to that of TBC v5.80.1 and earlier. Please note that the RPS Command Library version compatible with v5.9.x and earlier versions of TBC is NOT compatible with the current TBC Version 2025.x.

If you are using Trimble Business Center v5.80.1 or earlier Click Here for the installation instructions for those versions.

If you are unsure about which version of TBC you have installed, you can check this by going to the TBC Support Menu and selecting the About command. This will display the TBC Version that you are working with.

TBC Version 2025.x Installation Process for RPS Command Library

  • Ensure that you have your license for TBC Survey Advanced registered. The current version is available from Trimble HERE
  • Verify you have a Trimble ID set up. Rockpile uses your Trimble ID to verify your RPS Command Library subscription. You can check your log in or create an account for Trimble ID HERE.
  • Shut Down Trimble Business Center. Do not restart the program until you have downloaded and installed the RPS Command Library.
  • Download the RPS Command Library v2025.x HERE
  • Install RPS Command LIbrary from the downloaded package
  • Start Trimble Business Center
  • Log in to Trimble ID
  • Go to the “RPS Support Menu” and select “Menu Manager”
  • Click “Refresh RPS Menus” and then click “Refresh Icons”.
  • If “Menu Manager” cannot be cound on either the “RPS Support” or “RPS Tool Shed” menus, utilize the F12 key on your keyboard to open the command pane. Type in “Menu” and select “RPSMenuManager” from the options presented.
  • In the “RPS Support Menu”, select “TML Status”. Take any TML Updates presented.

We now recommend that you use “File” - “Exit” to close TBC, instead of the “X” button as normal in the top right corner of the TBC window. This process of closing TBC will trigger TBC to save a layout settings fil that remembers the current menu configuration.

If you want to use the RPS Navigate menu, we recommend that you go to RPS Support Menu, select Shortcut Manager, and select RPS Defaults. This sets CTRL SHIFT D to be the shortcut that fires up the RPS Navigate command. If you have a mouse with programmable buttons, you can use your mouse setup software eg Logi Options for Logitech devices to set a keyboard shortcut of CTRL SHIFT D to one of the programmable buttons. Once setup, in TBC when you click that mouse button, you should get the RPS Navigate menu right by your cursor.

Updating the RPS Command Library v2025.x and v5.9.x

To update your command library, you can use the TMLStatus command from the Tool Shed menu. You should also periodically check the Rockpile Solutions website for updated installation programs. The Installation packages can take care of system maintenance and cleanup if that is ever required, and it is worth doing an installation update whenever we release a new package. In between release packages, use the TMLStatus command to update your system.

  • Start TBC
  • TMLStatus can be found on the Tool Shed Menu
  • Run TMLStatus
  • Accept all of the upgrades and new commands offered and click Update TMLs
  • On completion, close TMLStatus and then close TBC
  • Wait at least 30 seconds before restarting TBC to allow TBC to release all of the commands so that they can be updated during startup.
  • Once open, go to the Tool Shed or Support menu, select Menu Manager and then select Reset RPS Menus, then select Refresh Icons

You should now be all set and ready to Rockpile!
