In optimize linestrings, there is an option to create the new linestrings to another layer (default is {L}-OPT}. however, this changes the properties and makes a copy.
is there any kind of command or shortcut to just re-layer everything selected to new layers with a tag and retain all of the properties of the object, while the new layer retains the properties of the source layer?
the example i am currently working on: i’ve got a cad file of concrete joints, the joints are on 6 or 7 layers. i have a replacement file (and honestly could probably just delete the old ones), but i would like to move all of the current objects on the joint layers to their corresponding layers with an OLD tag. C-JNTS-RENF would become C-JNTS-RENF-OLD. i currently use optimize linestrings as a workaround, but would like to knwo if there is an quicker way i am uinaware of.
