Using Track Region Outline Command To Create Clipping Boundaries

In this video we go over the use of the Track Region Outline Command and how it can be used for a variety of tasks including

  • Creating a clipping boundary from a selection of lines
  • Using the Gap Closure tolerance
  • Creating a boundary line with exclusion areas for Topsoil Strip around Demolition areas
  • Creating an outer boundary line from a selection of lines

We recommend that you try to keep the number of source lines to a minimum when you use the command, the more lines that you select the more iterations the command has to make to find the boundary that you are looking for - while it can work quickly on 10s or 100s of lines be aware that the more source lines that you select the longer it will take to determine the boundary that you are looking for
