Switch Text
COMMAND LICENSING AND DEFAULT MENU LOCATIONS
- The Switch Text command is part of the RPS Data Prep Toolbox.
- The command is located on the Data Prep macros menu ribbon.
- The command is located in the Modify menu group.
COMMAND DESCRIPTION
Switches text properties between two selected text objects. Text properties include height, width, text, rotation, oblique angle, justification, aspect ratio, layer, color, etc.
SETUP AND CONFIGURATION
Command Interface Description
The Switch Text command dialog looks as follows:
Text 1:
Select the first piece of text in the graphics area
Text 2:
Select the second piece of text in the graphics area
EXECUTE
Switch Options
Check any or all of the following text properties that you want to switch between Text Item 1 and Text Item 2
[ ] Text (the text content itself)
[ ] Height (the height of the text)
[ ] Width Factor (the width factor of the text)
[ ] Rotation (the rotation angle of the text)
[ ] Oblique Angle (the oblique/slant angle of the text)
[ ] Justification (the justification location of the text)
[ ] Aspect (the aspect ratio (height-to-width ratio) of the text)
[ ] Layer (the layer on which the text is placed)
[ ] Color (the color of the text)
APPLY BUTTON
When you tap Apply, the text properties will be switched and the command will prepare itself for another selection set and another process execution. If you do not want to make a second selection and repeat the process, tap Close to finish the process.
CLOSE BUTTON
Closes the command without further execution.
