In a discussion the other day with my contacts at Trimble I found out that in a recent (but not latest) version, that they fixed the swapping triangle issue.so that when you rebuild the surface or a rebuild occurs because the surface was updated, the swapped triangles are maintained. This will work unless you add or remove data specifically within the area of the two triangles swapped using the command.
