After seeing a question brought up on the TBC community, on the topic of adding points along edge of pavement. The macro “Sta/Offset Points” does just this opposed to doing a create point and then right click offset. This macro is great if you have a alignment, extend you alignment ticks and possibly add more ticks. To me, it seems as if the option to use any linestring adding points would be very useful and not just alignments.
If we used the edge of pavement linestring to create points, that offset would always be zero and then we would just click at the intersection of the main alignment and ticks. This would speed up that process and take out some steps. Can we get the option to use any linestring in the “Sta/Offset Point” macro?
