PDF Manager update for TBC v2024.10 Now Released

January 29th 2025

We are pleased to announce the release of our next update for PDF Manager which addresses the crash issue introduced by TBC v2024.10.

The new update has a lot of improvements as follows, and is available from TMLStatus immediately. You will find that there is an increased productivity of ~10% for alignment based sheet placement with significantly fewer mouse clicks to place each sheet in this version.

Updates include

  1. Ability to set the display style for place page images (Dimmed, Bluelined etc) and to set image transparency

  1. Place markers to indicate the From and To locations for the page referencing

  1. 2 Point mode for Alignment based sheets to eliminate the need to use right click COGO snaps for each point selected.

  1. Ability to set the location for the Top Left Corners of the sheets for their unplaced / temporary location for those that want to drop the image right on top of the CAD data

  1. Ability to delete an unneeded PDF Plan Set and all georeferenced sheets from that Plan Set

  2. Improved Profile placement workflow to increase productivity

  1. Full support for Alignments with Station Equations

  2. Some improvements to Dashed vs Solid Line identification

Outstanding work items

  • We still have some work to do on Color Mapping
  • There is a minor defect in that you cannot grab an image from an already Georeferenced page
  • We will add a 2 point mode for the multipoint method of page placement also
  • There appears to be a TBC slow down if you close PDF Manager and then restart the command to add more pages, the slow down appears to clear if you open a new Plan View - we are looking into the cause of this slow down.

There are some bigger work items planned, these are small short term things that I hope to have addressed shortly in another patch update.

Let us know how you like the changes.

Every time I open pdf manager in a particular existing project, I get this warning several times. I select yes every time, but the next time I open the TBC file and run pdf manager, the warning pops up several times again. Any thoughts or suggestions?
