Occasionally my team is asked to scan an object, in this case a loader bucket, and obtain a volume of the bucket. Is there an easier way to obtain the buckets CY volume than making it into a CAD solid and obtaining it in Civil3D?

I would probably split into 2 halves and compute the volumes of the two halves in TBC, the latest Point Cloud Tools in TBC have a Meshing capability - have not tried it yet but that may provide a solution
Failing that I would use Sketchup to build the solid and either get the Volume in Sketchup or open the 3D Solid model in Connect and have that give me the volume - have never tried any of these things but I am sure they are all doable.
