Making Adjustments to a Subgrade Adjusted Surface

In the example below the user was asking how they could add a sideslope tie out to existing from the base of subgrade adjustments as per the diagram below because they have significant areas and depths to work with.

In the example I created a simple project to demonstrate the process that I would use to do this - obviously a large complex project is a different beast, however the principals are the same.

The process involves using the RPS Extract Surface Features command to extract the breaklines and boundaries from the subgrade model created by takeoff and then using those lines to create the surface ties to existing and then building an updated subgrade adjusted model for the calculations of the quantities. I then used the RPS Volumes Manager to compute the different volumes needed for the final results package.

Hope the video helps
