Lines to AOI
COMMAND LICENSING AND DEFAULT MENU LOCATIONS
- The Lines to AOI command is part of the RPS Data Prep Toolbox.
- The command is located on the Data Prep macros menu ribbon.
- The command is located in the Modify menu group.
COMMAND DESCRIPTION
Converts selected linework into AOIs (Areas of Interest) for Takeoff reports.
EXECUTE
Command Interface Description
The Lines to AOI command dialog looks as follows:
AOI boundaries:
Select the closed lines that you wish to create takeoff Areas of Interest (AOIs) from.
Note that the name of the lines will become the name of the AOIs created. If the lines selected have no name, then the command will not allow the creation of unnamed AOIs. You can use the Name by Text or Name by Layer command to give the AOIs names.
Note that if a number of selected lines have the same name, e.g., Building Pad, then a single AOI with that name will be created that combines the areas of all commonly named lines into a single AOI for takeoff reporting purposes.
OK BUTTON
Executes the command and closes on completion.
CANCEL BUTTON
Closes the command without further execution.
