Is anyone using the new DJI Matrice 4E?

This morning I got a call from a customer asking if I knew of anyone using the new DJI Matrice 4E. If you are, your feedback would be appreciated.

Another question would be. Have you figured out a way to sync the images automatically over WiFi with google photos or other sync’ing app installed on the RC Pro 2 or other drone controller?

Are you running it with an RTK module off a Trimble base station? Or the D-RTK3 base station?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have successfully calculated all flight parameters for the M4E, including Above Ground Level (AGL), speed, and overlap. I know the Trimble Team is actively developing Post-Processed Kinematic (PPK) capabilities for TBC.

Currently, our clients are utilizing their rovers with base codes to establish Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) connections. Alternatively, some are employing traditional methods by tying down to Ground Control Points (GCPs). Even with RTK, we strongly recommend incorporating GCPs and checkpoints, as well as generating a Point-to-Cloud Report from Rockpile to ensure accurate ground-truthing of the point cloud.

Most of our clients are utilizing Connect or just loading the SD card into the computer to import the photos.

I haven’t used the M4e but I use TopoDrone software for PPK workflows with a DJI Matrice 3 & Trimble equipment. Should work for the Matrice 4e as well if someone was interested in a PPK workflows.
