Using Earthworks on dozers and an excavator, we made several in-field designs within Earthworks to create drainage swales and ditches and shared them with all the other machines via USB. Is there any way to import those into TBC?
What file type are the designs on the USB if you plug it into your PC?
File transfer-export files from machine to usb drive. Then use the .dsz file to import the linework and surface into tbc. Since you already have the files on usb, just import the .dsz file.
I would agree with Areed. If you already have the .dsz on a flash drive, you can import those into TBC with no problem. You can either Drag & Drop or use the Import command.
It’s not a .dsz created in TBC, it’s a simple slope design created in the machine with two points and a defined side slope on each side. The extension is .SLOPE.
My idea was to put all the drainage swales (ended up being around 10 field designs) we created in the field into the topsoil stripping model we are using and making sure everything was draining into the swales. There’s not a lot of fall to work with so having the whole site including the swales in one model would have been easier than grading the site by hand. I don’t believe there is a way to import those field designs into TBC, as far as I can tell the only use for exporting those field designs is to share them with other machines.
