Command Updates - Sept 1st 2021

Today we have made updates to the following commands

Import Boring Logs

This command has been updated to allow elevation data entries to have both positive and negative elevations in the boreholes. We had a request from a user working near sea level on some pond projects where the boreholes had a start elevation just a few feet above sea level and then went below sea level because of the depth of the boreholes. We updated the Elevation mode to accommodate this scenario

Define Extra Stations

This command has been updated to accommodate the following changes.

  • Copy and Paste from Excel into the Extra Stations table has been added to facilitate faster creation of the extra stations
  • Sorting of stations in the Extra Stations table has been added to sort by station order rather than by alphanumeric sorting which was the case previously.

Create XLINES

This command has been updated to accommodate the following changes

  • Copy and paste from Excel in a US Foot Project had a units conversion issue this has now been addressed so that the paste function now works in both Meters and US Feet units.
  • Sorting of stations in the Extra Stations table has been added to sort by station order rather than by alphanumeric sorting which was the case previously.

Note: A user asked for us to be able to add XLINES at all Road Critical Locations and label the XLINES with codes like VHP, VLP, PC, PT etc. automatically. We are looking at adding that functionality using our Point Creator styles. However in the short term if you run Point Creator on the alignment that you want to place the XLINES and then run a Point Detail Report or a Label Points Report to generate a CSV that contains all the Stations and Codes list, then you can now copy and paste the Station and Code values into the Create XLines or Define Extra Stations commands to do the labeling or modeling processes with these commands. While a 2 step process it is still way faster than doing it by hand!.

Thanks
