Calculating 20 and 30 Foot Offset Hubs for Utility Line Staking

In the video below we show how to calculate 20 and 30 Foot Offset Hubs for Utility Line staking using the RPS Slope Designer Tool.

If you have a continuous Linestring or Polyline representing a utility line, you may need to use the RPS Explode Line command first on the utility lines to create them as single segment lines. Once you have the single segment lines you can then use slope designer to create the offset hubs perpendicular to the end points of each line segment at 20 and 30 foot offsets.

Users want these points so that they can use the two hubs to align the tape knowing that 20’ off those 2 hubs in that line direction is the utility line end point.
