Yesterday I was on a call with a user and we had built a model and wanted to export it to GCS900 and Earthworks file formats. We created our Controller for GCS900 v12.80 and we ran the JobSite Manager and the Create Design and in the process of writing the design surface TBC failed to create the model. I looked into the reason overnight and there is an issue that you should be aware of.
When you install TBC v5.70 or 5.70.10, if you are running the Full Install, when it asks you what Optional Program Features you want to install, you need to select Field and Machine Data and check the checkbox next to GCS900 12.5 through 12.8 - this is required if you need to export machine data files to GCS900 versions 12.5 and higher.
If you dial back the version to 12.40 it works OK and the files should work on later machine software versions also, however this issue stops you from using the Export options and the Field Data Management workflows and also then that stops you exporting also to Earthworks using the Earthworks workflows.
Make sure you double check these and other utilities that are worth installing during the install process.
