Overview
Each session covers one aspect of the software with an overarching theme for the first two training days.

During the first training session on day one each attendee will be given an opportunity to raise an item that they would like to see taught. These aspects will be worked into the overarching theme for days one and two, or will be covered separately on day three if able. If the attendees’ interests deviate significantly from the planned agenda there is potentiall to pivot a little to cover desired topics along with the theme of the class.

Power User Groups are designed to be in depth trainings with a focus on what attendees want to understand to benefit their productivity & results. Training also includes coverage of RPS tools including Smart Edit 3D (New), Adjust Linestring Elevation (Updated), PDF Vectors (Updated), solids works tools, surface modeling work tools, Label Lines (new), Copy & Paste Commands (Updated), and QA Tools (Updated & Preview) for Points, Lines, Flat Floors, QA Notes and more.

Power User Groups are also networking opportunities with fellow Modelers & Estimators who utilize TBC in Civil Construction Projects. Power User discussions are a great way to share knowledge in addition to training sessions!

Class Theme

This class theme is Takeoff and Data prep for Takeoff. The training track will be a PDF Starting Point, progressing through Data Prep elements with a focus on Data Prep for Takeoff vs Data Prep for Modeling. However, we feel there is not a large difference between Modeling and Takeoff from a tools and techniques perspective.

Day 1 will have 4 sessions that go over the PDF to Model processes, and we will dive into TBC and RPS tools that facilitate those workflows.

Day 2 will have 4 sessions that go over Takeoff Processes including Subgrades and Subgrade Surfaces, Materials and SIte Improvements, Boring Logs and Strata, Overexcavations, Stripping and Replacements and Reporting Volumes / Quantities.

Day 3 will have 4 sessions and is more of a workshop day - we will likely cover Point Clouds, Manipulating Road Sections, some aspects of Corridors and then Q&A and RPS Tools that we have not covered in Days 1&2 - but Day 3 is more open and we will try to address as many elements that people wanted from the round room question on Day 1.

While the focus is on SItes mainly for Day 1 and 2, elements of corridors will also be covered.

Additional Schedule Plans

TBC is such a huge product that it is impossible to cover it all in 3 Days. The RPS Team will be on hand to answer questions, you can ask questions before we start at 8, after we finish at 5 and during breaks.

If needed, you can ask Chris or Trev for some time in parallel with the class if needed.

Bill Quintrell will do an overview of our RPS Tracker on Wednesday between 5 and 6:30 PM for those interested. He will also be available on days 1 and 2 for questions.
