Entering a Vertical Alignment using Slope vs Elevation

People ask how to enter slopes in the vertical alignment instead of entering Elevations.

When in the Alignment Editor, Vertical tab, you can use CTRL T to Toggle the data entry mode from Elevation to Slope or vice versa at any time for any data line in the vertical alignment.

You can use CTRL T provided that CTRL T is not used by your Keyboard Shortcuts defined using Support, Define Command Shortcuts - find the command that is using CTRL T and then set its shortcut to either None or something other than CTRL T to free it up.

You can also access the setting for this by tapping the Settings Button, go to the Segment Slope setting and change it to Edit Segment Slope and that way the field in the Table will come live and you can enter Slope in place of elevation.

Hope this helps
